I didn't do this on purpose:
Speaking of subliminal messages, lately Baboushka and I have been leaving the house in matching outfits. Accidentally, of course. And although dressing in this manner makes me feel deeply unsettled, the thought of changing either my or Baboushka's clothes is possibly even more unpleasant.
Anyway, that particular day we were heading out to have lunch with my mum, so I made her take a photo to document me and my eerily small, bald doppelgänger (who was feeling a bit teary, possibly because we were matchy-matchy).

Awww, that's cute. I wear the same thing as my husband all the time (yes, that's even weirder)!
my mother used to make me and my sister wear matching clothes, and we're 13 years apart:) it didn't work for long, though. i'm impressed, why do you speak norwegian? or is it that you speak danish (they're basically the same)?
oh, and your baby is sooo cute. and such an interesting name too!
Me too! I was about to head out the door the other day when I realised both girls and I were wearing purple. I changed Small Child (she was easiest) cos I can deal with one doppelganger, but not two!
@K.Line: wearing the same thing as your partner is very red-carpet, like Will Smith and Jada Pinkett ;-)
@Alli: Hehe, sadly I don't speak Norwegian.. I once had a Norwegian boyfriend so I only know a few phrases. And thanks, I think she's a cutie too! Baboushka is actually her nickname - her real name is Anouk, which gets lengthened to Anoushka, which rhymes with Baboushka. Such is the Australian art of nicknaming!
@bugmum: the three of you in purple, I bet that was cute :-) Sometimes I think I should just submit to the Forces of Matching Clothing to make it easier, in the manner of school uniforms..
my husband and I do this sometimes. which i think is worse!
Cutealicious! Love your blog....so happy you visited mine, so I could visit yours! xxx
Damn you for making me look at that shining twins picture ;) x
My mum and I often turn up to things wearing very similar outfits. The absolute worst was going to a school play for my brother, and my mum, my gran (mum's mum) and myself all walked into the kitchen to leave wearing red shoes, jeans, black jumpers and red scarves. It was too tragic, but we were running late so none of us got changed. Sadly there are no photos to document that tragic case of matchy matchy!
@kimberlee: when the three of us start matching, I'll know we have a problem ;-)
@MLF:sorry about the Shining twins, they're so creepy!
@Cherry: oh no, that would have made a great photo! Your poor brother ;-)
